“There is a Joyful Spirit Here”

by trm on 2011/11/21

It’s a comment we hear a lot at Christ Church. Perched among the trees in the Sierra foothills, Sunday morning in this church is like worshipping in “God’s tree house.” We continue a tradition established by Christ Church in 1894 of connecting mountain folk with Christ. Over the years, our mountain community has changed a bit, but the good news of Jesus remains the same — and that’s what we’re about.

Have a look at our website and check us out!  We put it together to give you a little glimpse of our life together. Then be our guest for worship this Sunday and experience that joyful spirit.

We’d love to get to know you.

Blessings,

Gordon+

What a great website. It has changed since the last time I was on here. Sounds like a great place to worship Our Lord & Saviour!

Gordon,
Thank you and your congregation for the welcoming spirit and corporate worship at yesterday’s 10:00 am service. We are active in a community church in Southern California and so it was a blessing to enjoy a liturgical tradition and the Eucharist service on our weekend trip to Yosemite. To hear your request of prayer for the pending decision on your lawsuit, when the leadership of your denomination has abandoned clear Biblical teaching on homosexuality is both sobering and encouraging. It is a sad commentary on many church leaders who have placed their faith in a perverted definition of tolerance rather than God’s Word to inform their theology. It is encouraging to hear you have taken a stand for righteousness. I will pray that the judge finds your congregation within its rights to keep the property and continue your faithful witness for the gospel in Oakhurst.
Blessings to you,
